Where to Eat & Drink on New Year's Eve in San Diego

Why settle for a free champagne toast at midnight? Restaurants, bars and hotels across town are putting their own unique spins on New Year's Eve celebration, with special food and drink menus to make sure that the last hours of 2013 are memorable.

Downtown's festivities include a mezcal toast and tamales at The Blind Burro and a rare gin tasting at The US Grant's flapper-themed fete, while North County's Sea & Smoke is celebrating its first NYE in style with caviar.

The hotel recently got two bottles of US GRANT gin from the 1930s that a guest discovered in their home and returned to the hotel, and a lucky patron will get to drink the historical bottle at the party.
