Park Hyatt Aviara Resort, Golf Club & Spa
Both restaurants at the Park Hyatt Aviara Resort will have special menus just for Mother’s Day—both cost $98 for adults and $35 for children and run from 9:30/10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Both restaurants will feature a buffet with a carve station with sun dried tomato and dill crusted sea bass and prime rib; an iced seafood display; a California artisanal cheese tasting; an omelet station; a selection of pastries; platters of cured meats; California-made salumi and a cold buffet with items such as avocado gazpacho, pickled shrimp, grilled green asparagus, and baby arugula. Fast casual healthy joint Flower Child will be offering a fresh strawberry MAmosa, which will be available only on May 12 and 13. The restaurant will also be handing out “I Love Mom” coloring sheets while moms enjoy brunch, which will feature light items like a quinoa breakfast burrito, vegan hash and the Late Riser (scrambled eggs, quinoa, heirloom bean, avocado, roasted chile, salsa, corn, greek yogurt and queso blanco). Also served will be freshly squeezed juices, including the Liquid Sunshine with coconut water, carrot, ginger, turmeric and orange.

Dolce at the Highlands
Dolce at The Highlands in Carmel Valley will be serving extended brunch and dinner menus for Mother’s Day, in addition to the regular menus. Reservations are recommended.
True Food Kitchen
Both the Fashion Valley and UTC locations of True Food Kitchen will be serving a special “Mom-osa” menu only on Mother’s Day. Available are a pomegranate mimosa with prosecco, lime, pomegranate, and antioxidant tea; an orange vanilla mimosa with prosecco, lime, vanilla and orange; a blueberry mint mimosa with prosecco, mint, blueberry and lemon; and a sparkling lavender lemonade with lemon, honey, lavender and sparkling water.
Catamaran Resort Hotel and Spa
With both indoor and outdoor dining options along with live piano entertainment, guests will enjoy an endless brunch buffet including made-to-order omelets, peel-and-eat shrimp and special kids’ options. Guests also receive a complimentary Mother’s Day cruise on Mission Bay aboard the resort’s two sternwheelers, the Bahia Belle and William D. Evans. Brunch is served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and costs $60 for adults, $25 for children ages 5-11 and free for children under 5. Giardino Neighborhood Cucina
In addition to their regular brunch menu, which features sweet and savory dishes, Giardino in Lemon Grove will be offering a 3-course Mother’s Day menu for $29 per person, beginning at 9 a.m. Start with options like baked mussels and eggplant rolls or sample banana french toast, classic eggs Benedict or a sausage panini. End the meal on a sweet note with the kick of an affogato.

The Smoking Goat Restaurant
It’s the fête des mères at French bistro The Smoking Goat, where those looking to skip brunch will be well taken care of. On the menu is crispy octopus with wild arugula and fingerling potatoes, a pan roasted Scottish salmon, and, for dessert, a goat cheese cheesecake. A complimentary Champagne toast and an amuse-bouche will also be served upon seating.
Charles & Dinorah
The new dining concept at Point Loma’s The Pearl Hotel will be serving a three-course prix fixe menu on Mother’s Day from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. for $30 per person. Highlights include Nutella french toast with hazelnut and cardamom syrup, the gem salad with wild king salmon, and the Fromager d’Affinois with honeycomb and sweet biscuit cookies. Moms also get a free glass of champagne on the house. Reservations are recommended and can be made at (619) 226-6100.
Buona Forchetta is celebrating Mother’s Day at both its South Park and Liberty Station locations. In addition to their famous pizzas, the team is swapping out the traditional Champagne with bubbly prosecco. The restaurant also plans to unroll a daily specials menu with mom and family in mind.
The Westgate Hotel
The Westgate Hotel is celebrating Mother’s Day with a Champagne brunch from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Tea, pastries and tea sandwiches will also be served in advance of the holiday on Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12 from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Reservations can be made online or by calling 619-238-1818.
The mother of all waffles is honoring mothers and owner Terryl Gavre’s hen, Thelma, with a specialty dish in honor of Mother’s Day called “The Mother Hen.” The Mother Hen is a scramble of Thelma’s favorite greens, including spinach, chard and kale. This special dish will be available only on Mother’s Day.
Water Grill San Diego
Water Grill is offering moms a roasted wild Alaskan halibut with lobster sauce, Oregon morel, fava beans and gnocchi with a choice of by-the-glass wine. For dessert, enjoy Sweet Gaviota Strawberries from the Camarillo Plain with fromage blanc sorbet and pistachio tuile.
