1. Mess Hall

2. Bottega Americano
Serving their full brunch and dinner menus this Mother’s Day, Bottega’s brunch standouts include baked French toast with mascarpone whipped cream and free flowing mimosas. For a night out on the town, treat mom and the family to dinner with delightful eats like bricked Cornish game hen, seasonal vegetable risotto or a handcrafted pizza. Brunch will be served from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. and dinner will be served from 5 - 9 p.m.
3. Sirena Cocina
Moms who visit Sirena on May 8 will be eating free, while everyone else can take advantage of a three-course prix fixe menu for just $44. Choices include Mexican orange flan and sautéed berries for dessert. The Lomo Saltado – a main course of beef tenderloin with parsley, chile, soy sauce, red onions, and tomatoes - is a highlight. On Mexican Mother’s Day (May 10), Sirena will give a 20 percent discount to all guests in addition to a free dessert for mom.
4. Le Papagayo
Treat mom to a bottomless mimosa brunch at this lively little spot in Leucadia. Served until 2 p.m., enjoy menu standouts such as the blueberry Paleo pancakes, Grand Marnier French toast, or a Hermes St. scramble on the charming outside patio, along with one of Le Papa’s new Kombucha cocktails or a more traditional Bloody Mary.
5. Shores Restaurant
Available Sunday, May 8, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. the Shores’ Mother’s Day Brunch Buffet costs $52 per person with special pricing for children. Highlights include a farmers market grilled sweet corn salad and Tuscan white bean soup; panko cilantro crusted petrale sole and roasted Angus top sirloin. 6. Farmer & The Seahorse
Chef Brian Malarkey and chef de cuisine Jason Gethin’s brand new brunch menu is the perfect way to treat mom to something special. Tuck into a masa Benedict with wild mushroom ragu, fried duck confit with buttermilk waffle and burnt wildflower honey syrup, or a breakfast pizza with house made chorizo. There are plenty of brunch cocktails too, including a cucumber mint mimosa. Served 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. on Sundays.
7. Pacifica Del Mar
For striking views and award-winning coastal fare head to Pacifica Del Mar, where you can treat mom to a special three-course prix fixe Mother’s Day brunch for $39 per person; complimentary glass of bubbly, Bloody Mary or Mimosa also included. Brunch is available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., while Pacifica’s dinner menu will also be available that evening.
8. vinavanti Urban Winery
Vinavanti is turning their monthly Cellar School class into a celebration of bubbly on May 8, when mother daughter duos can come for brunch (11 a.m. – 3 p.m.) then learn about the differences between Champagne, Cava, Prosecco, and natural sparkling wines (one of Vinavanti’s specialties). Parties of eight or more can reserve a table online.
9. HOPE 46 Classic American Cuisine
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Hope 46, will host a Timeless Classics Mother’s Day Brunch to celebrate all moms. Expect bottomless mimosas and specialty dishes including seasonal vegetable frittatas, a carving station with herb-crusted free-range turkey breast and smoked California ham. Be sure to save room for desert – apple and pecan pies, New York Style Cheesecake, and triple chocolate mousse cake await. 10. Bleu Boheme
Ken Irvine’s Mother’s Day brunch menu is priced at $49 per person and includes a roster of suitably French-inspired fare such as quiche maison, and a classic “onglet” steak served with Béarnaise sauce. Brunch concludes with a selection of desserts, including mousse au chocolat, pain d’épice and profiteroles. Specialty lavender mimosas and Bloody Mary’s made with imported French vodka will be priced at $8 each. Served 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
11. Le Parfait Paris
Indulge mom on her special day with a $30 prix fixe brunch at this chic downtown sweet shop and café. Le Parfait’s traditional French-inspired menu will include: one beverage (mimosa, coffee or juice); one brunch option (eggs benedict, toast d’azur or croque madame); and a mom-inspired pastry such as a personalized macaron.
