Here’s a little something to look forward to: As bars continue to crawl back from a particularly difficult period for the industry, a familiar and crowd-pleasing pop-up is coming back to San Diego to bring some holiday cheer to the end of another rough year.

Long-running annual pop-ups Miracle and Sippin’ Santa, which have made a regular appearances at local cocktail spots like The Grass Skirt and Polite Provisions, are returning to town and will run from November 22 to December 31 with holiday-themed drinks and interiors decorated as over-the-top winter wonderlands. The Miracle cocktail list includes the past classics such as the gingerbread-y Snowball Old Fashioned and the spiked Jingle Balls Nog as well as new concoctions like the Elfing Around made with prosecco, gin, mulled wine, grapefruit shrub, and bitters. Among the new drinks at Sippin’ Santa, Miracle’s tropical offshoot founded by tiki legend Jeff “Beachbum” Berry, will be an ancho chile-spiced White Russian and a combo of overproof rum, herbal liqueur, nutmeg syrup, and lime called the Christmas Eve of Destruction.

This year, there’s more San Diego area participation than ever before. Miracle is returning to Polite Provisions and popping up at the Roxy Encinitas and Temecula’s Apparition Room while Sippin’ Santa will be transforming The Grass Skirt in Pacific Beach and Devilicious Eatery in Temecula.
