Well-established in the Bay Area where it operates 11 locations, Pacific Catch is expanding its “West Coast Fish House” brand to Southern California; the first restaurant in the region is coming to San Diego, specifically Westfield UTC, where it will be part of the new development at the former Sears site near the intersection of Towne Centre Drive and La Jolla Village Drive.
The restaurant chain is a member of the Seafood Watch and James Beard Smart Catch programs, and offers both wild-caught and sustainably-raised seafood via a “wave to table” menu that ranges from sushi, poke, and ceviche to tacos, burgers, and grilled fish plates.
Currently scheduled for an early summer opening, the Westfied UTC outpost will have three different outdoor dining patios and an open-air cocktail bar. And the company is actively looking for more locations in San Diego County. Steve Kelly, Pacific Catch’s VP of Marketing, tells Eater by email that they’re planning to open three locations in the area.
