Rise & Shine Restaurant Group is becoming a breakfast triple threat in Liberty Station, adding another daytime eatery to the complex where it already runs two morning-centric restaurants including Breakfast Republic. Its newest breakfast enterprise, Eggies, shares a kitchen with Fig Tree Café and is geared for grab-and-go service. Annexed in a 60-square-foot space, its walk-up window offers a menu of breakfast sandwiches, including the Eggies Classic with an over-medium egg, maple-sage breakfast sausage, applewood bacon, and sharp cheddar cheese on a brioche bun and other quick-service bites that range from churros with caramel sauce to jars layered with strawberry French toast or savory potato hash. It opens this Thursday, June 25 and will operate daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Owner Johan Engman has started to pair up his full-service breakfast restaurants with these takeout counterparts; the first Eggies landed in next to Breakfast Public in East Village in April and the next is headed for Pacific Beach, where it will be housed in a shipping container adjacent to the Breakfast Republic on Mission Boulevard.
