Established in 2015, Mr. Moto Pizza now operates locations in Pacific Beach, North Park, Point Loma, La Jolla, and Ocean Beach and will be adding two more outposts to its roster later this summer. Specializing in New York-style whole pies and slices, it offers signature favorites like the Mission Blvd. with spinach, roasted tomato, garlic, artichoke and caramelized onions as well as a pizza of the month.
Mr. Moto is heading to Encinitas, where it will be taking over for Napizza on South Coast Highway. Napizza, which sold rectangular slices of gourmet pizza, closed the 1,200-square-foot North County space in late March along with its eatery in Little Italy. Paul Ahern of Next Wave Commercial facilitated the lease.
Mr. Moto is also part of a new wave of businesses coming to Seaport Village that includes Mike Hess Brewing, City Tacos, coffee and bagel shop Spill the Beans, and a restaurant being developed by Sam the Cooking Guy. It’ll be housed in a 906-square-foot space that includes a waterfront patio.
