Delayed by the COVID-19 crisis, new local creamery Mr. Trustee opens today at 4 p.m. in Mission Hills adjacent to Cardellino, the Italian-American eatery and all-bakery launched by the team behind Trust Restaurant, Fort Oak, and Rare Society. “Amidst all of the loss and uncertainty, our team at Trust Restaurant Group is eager to add some positivity and normalcy back into our day to day lives, as well as put some of our team members back to work,” said TRG Owner and executive chef Brad Wise.
With executive pastry chef Jeremy Harville at the helm, the Goldfinch Street scoop shop will sell handcrafted ice cream, soft-serve ice cream, and to-go pints from walk-up window that will be open daily from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The menu will rotate to highlight seasonal flavors, but the opening lineup includes flavors like Honey-Vanilla, White Chocolate Macadamia Cookie Dough, Strawberry Cheesecake, and Butter Pecan, plus Captain Crunch and Malted Milk soft-serve. Housemade waffle cones will also be available.
