Prager Brothers Artisan Breads Arrives in Encinitas

The bakery is set up for quick pickups

Sam Wells

With yeast running low on store shelves and stress-baking at an all-time high, Prager Brothers Artisan Breads has arrived in Encinitas to feed our collective carb cravings. The new South Coast Highway shop is an offshoot of the local bakery’s original location and production facility in Carlsbad, which still keeps daily walk-in hours and accepts pre-orders.

Open seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the 1,300-square-foot store in downtown Encinitas has a classic bakery setup designed for expedited to-go orders, with a glassed-in pastry case and bread shelf stocked with Prager Brothers’ full lineup of baked goods that ranges from breakfast pastries likes croissants and danishes to wholegrain and sourdough breads, baguettes, sandwiches, scones, and cookies.
