The ongoing revitalization of Seaport Village continues with The Port’s newest lease, which is replacing the decades-old Harbor House restaurant as an anchor tenant. Malibu Farm got its start as a pop-up cafe at the Malibu pier, but has since gone to expand in the U.S. and beyond, from Miami and New York City to Cabo San Lucas and Tokyo. Founded by Swedish celebrity chef Helene Henderson and her husband, actor John Stockwell, its California-centric menu that includes tacos, salads, and pizzas with cauliflower and broccoli crusts.
The waterfront restaurant is scheduled to start construction next fall, with the aim of opening for business by Summer 2022.
This latest addition is just part of the redevelopment of the dining landscape at the long-standing complex, which includes Spill the Beans and Eats by Sam, both scheduled to open later this fall, and new outposts due next spring for Mr. Moto Pizza and Mike Hess Brewing/City Tacos.
