Hard kombucha producer and lifestyle brand JuneShine will soon have a new home base in North Park. The company, which got its start in 2018 as part of the Brewery Igniter building on El Cajon Boulevard, expanded in a major way last June by turning a former Ballast Point facility in Scripps Ranch into a production hub and tasting room for its popular organic hard kombucha.

In late spring 2020, JuneShine will reopen in North Park as part of a new mixed-use development on 30th Street called The Jackson. The 2,000-square-foot space, which will feature a 600-square-foot patio, will also allow for private functions and other special events.

Forrest Dein, CCO and co-founder of JuneShine shared, “Our first tasting room in North Park was perfect as JuneShine found its footing as a reputable hard kombucha brand in the neighborhood. We’re grateful to have had such a perfect incubation space for our team and brand in San Diego. Speaking on behalf of the whole JuneShine crew, we couldn’t be more pumped to throw open the doors to an incredible indoor/outdoor space come spring.”

Next Wave Commercial’s Cam Lacey, who represented both the landlord and tenant in the lease, told Eater “We are excited to see JuneShine continue its presence here in North Park while the brand continues to grow throughout the US. The Jackson is a natural fit for JuneShine, a modern and progressive building with community at its core.”
