Clothing and lifestyle brand Tommy Bahama, which operates three stores in the San Diego area, is bringing its restaurant-retail concept to the Fashion Valley Mall. The Marlin Bar will be coming to the first level of the shopping center near Macy’s where it replaces the All Saints store. All Saints will be relocating to another area in the mall.
Out of Tommy Bahama’s over 160 retail locations, only 17 include some kind of food component, ranging from a full-service restaurant and bar to a more casual eatery. The 7,200-square-foot Fashion Valley space will combine a retail store featuring the full range Tommy Bahama gear, from clothing to home decor, with a counter-service restaurant and outdoor patio. The refueling spot’s food and drink menu ranges from coconut shrimp with papaya-mango chutney to blue crab and avocado salad, a Cuban sandwich, and filet mignon tacos. Cocktails include martinis, margaritas, and rum drinks. The Marlin Bar is set to open Spring 2020.
