Following the recent opening of its third location just within Pacific Beach, Better Buzz Coffee is gearing up to launch in La Jolla by the end of August. Its corner spot on Prospect Street, next to Richard Walker’s Pancake House, will serve its full range of coffee drinks, which include its signature Rose Water Latte and Mint Mocha Latte, as well as a more robust brunch selection akin to what’s currently offered at its Hillcrest hub, which ranges from acai bowls to grilled sandwiches.

Another recent menu addition, soft-serve ice cream, will be available here in a cone, cup, or as a cold brew float in two flavors, vegan matcha and Best Drink Ever (coffee with cream and vanilla). French toast will be one of the new dishes debuting in La Jolla, including one variation flavored with almond butter and banana.

Known for its Instagrammable interiors, this spot will feature a coastal color scheme and rose pink chairs. Most of its seating will be outside its folding glass doors on large front and side/courtyard patios.

Working with Capital Real Estate Ventures’ Justin Earley, the company is planning to continue its rapid expansion. Marketing and purchasing coordinator Daniel Greig told Eater that they are working on three more locations, including one in Escondido that should open by the end of the year at 1831 South Centre City Parkway. Designed by MY Studio ID (Burger Lounge, Stake Chophouse), the 1,470-square-foot space will be a Better Buzz cafe/drive-thru hybrid.
