Two months into their tenure in Bankers Hill, the team behind Il Dandy will launch Arama, its exclusive tasting menu ‘restaurant within a restaurant’, this Monday, July 22. Located adjacent to the 2,350-square-foot, glass-fronted kitchen, Arama has only one table and just six seats; it’s a precise micro-version of Ristorante Abbruzino, the established Michelin-starred restaurant in Southern Italy run by Il Dandy chefs Antonio and Luca Abbruzzino.

Open nightly, Arama offers just one seating per evening; guests must call the restaurant for reservations, which will start between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Comprised of 12 courses, the experience will begin with an aperitivo and guided tour of the kitchen, with pricing dependent on the size of number of diners in each party; parties of two will be $250 per person, parties of three of four will be $200 per person while parties of six will pay $180 per guest. Optional wine pairings will be available.

For the chefs, it will be an opportunity to showcase the modern and progressive cuisine that has earned Ristorante Abbruzino a Michelin star for several years running. Drawing on their Calabrian heritage, the father-son duo will also reflect global flavors in the tasting menu, which will include interactive elements.
