International Smoke, which lands in One Paseo this Friday, July 19, adds a high-profile eatery to the new development that showcases the culinary collaboration between Michelin-pedigreed chef Michael Mina of the MINA Group and top-selling cookbook author and television host/producer Ayesha Curry. The One Paseo location, which spans an 6,200-square-foot interior and 2,000-square-foot patio, is the fourth for the Bay Area-based restaurant brand.

Centered around global interpretations of barbecue, from the classic American tradition to dishes inspired by the chefs’ own backgrounds and travels, the menu focuses on both wood fired and smoke-infused plates with an emphasis on communal dining.

Holding down the fort at One Paseo will be executive chef Ryan Orlando. Born and raised in North County, Orlando’s been working in kitchen since his teens; the chef has cooked in New York at Aureole by Charlie Palmer and locally at Pamplemousse and Campfire. The location’s general manager, Alex Farris, previously worked at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse in Boston and JRDN restaurant inside the Tower 23 Hotel.

The 288-seat restaurant will offer lunch, dinner, happy hour, and weekend brunch as well as live music.
