La Jolla’s Bobboi Natural Gelato will soon have two new locations in the neighborhood of Little Italy. The gelateria, which first opened in downtown La Jolla in 2014, has already announced its impending arrival on Kettner Boulevard at AV8, where it will share the ground floor with SuperNatural Sandwiches and Los Angeles transplant Zinqué Restaurant & Wine Bar; next month, it will also bring a dessert option to the Little Italy Food Hall. Bobboi will offer a rotating mix of flavors, from the classics to creative concoctions like Rosehoney (organic honey and Lebanese rosewater) and Poison Apple (charcoal, caramel, and granny smith apple) and seasonal, fruit-based flavors using farmer’s market-sourced produce.

It replaces Single Fin Kitchen, one of the founding tenants of the food hall, which debuted last summer; specializing in seafood, it served a variety of Japanese-inspired donburi, or rice bowls, topped with sashimi. The rest of the original lineup, including Ambrogio15, Mein St. Asian Kitchen, Roast Meat & Sandwich Shop, Wicked Maine Lobster, and Not Not Tacos by Sam the Cooking Guy, remains in place.
