The cute and colorful wonder that is the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck will roll back into town this Saturday, January 12. From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., the cafe on wheels will be parked outside The Shoppes at Carlsbad near the Regal Cinemas and Luna Gril.

Fans should plan to line up early for first dibs on the Hello Kitty merchandise, which includes exclusive treats and limited-edition collectibles ranging from a giant Hello Kitty chef and a lunchbox filled with confetti popcorn to a petit fours box set and a five-piece macaron box set. Non-edible goodies include a Hello Kitty plush toy, thermal bottles, keychains, a bow headband, and Hello Kitty Cafe t-shirts for kids and adults.

Could this be a test for a more permanent presence? Last year, after several well-attended truck stops at Fashion Valley, the brand opened a pop up container cafe in the mall. The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck’s roving tour continues with showcase in the San Diego area; on February 2, the truck is scheduled to make a stop in Chula Vista at Otay Ranch Town Center.
