Malahat Distillery Debuts Cocktails and New Hours

Miramar has a fresh spot for drinks

There’s a new spot for craft cocktails in Miramar, where the Malahat Spirits Co. distillery has officially started serving drinks featuring its products. Joining the ranks of other local distilleries who have added cocktails to their tasting room experience, Malahat has also extended its hours of operation to 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, noon to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday.

Though you can stop by anytime during regular hours for a cocktail or tasting flight — the spirits lineup includes black tea rum, ginger rum, spiced rum, vodka, bourbon, and rye whiskey — reservations are required for a full cocktail experience. Created by the talented team of Blueprint Spirits’ Trevor Bowles (Neighborhood, Soda & Swine) and Andrew Cordero (Noble Experiment), the cocktail list includes daiquiris made with house rums and a rotating beer cocktail made with local beers produced within a five-mile radius of the distillery as well as both refreshing and direct drinks; both Bowles and Cordero will be behind the bar as the cocktail program ramps up.
