Joining its original eatery in Pacific Beach and another restaurant that opened last year in North Park is Mr. Moto Pizza House’s third location that’s set to launch in Point Loma on Friday, August 10 where it will be part of a mixed-use development at the intersection of Rosecrans Street and Shelter Island Drive. The local pizzeria, which was founded in 2015, will operate in a 1250-square-foot space that will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday.
Its menu revolves around New York-style pizzas that are available as whole pies or in slices, which will be housed front and center in a 10-foot display case. Specialty pies include the Mamma Moto, which comes with a mascarpone cheese base with burrata, truffle oil, parsley, cherry tomatoes, and garlic paste and the red-sauced Mission Blvd with fresh spinach, roasted tomato, artichoke, and caramelized onions. In addition to stocking at least 15 pizza varieties, the eatery also offers a special “pizza of the month” created by its team of bakers. Beyond pizza, Mr. Moto will serve beer and wine as well as salad, pizza, and other dough-based items ranging from garlic knots to calzone and stromboli.
