Coming this summer to The Shoppes at Carlsbad is Sweet Cloud Creamery, a new spot specializing in made-to-order ice cream. Scheduled to launch on the Fourth of July, the frozen treats shop will also open at Chula Vista Center on the summer holiday.

Sweet Cloud Creamery will offer a fully customizable menu that starts with four base options: dairy, vegan, sorbet, and chocolate made with British import Cadbury. Customers will then be able to choose from 30 flavors, ranging from Alphonso Mango to Bubble Gum, 30 add-in’s including marshmallows, Oreos, and strawberries, plus 30 toppings and sauces. The store will use liquid nitrogen to freeze the ice cream base in mere seconds, a technique also used by Creamistry, Freeze SD, and the incoming Cauldron Ice Cream.

The recently revitalized shopping, dining, and entertainment center will start rolling out a large lineup of new restaurant tenants starting in May with the opening of Grubby’s Poke & Fish Market and Gofruit Juice Bar. Joining Sweet Cloud Creamery for a summer launch is another location for Breakfast Republic and Wokcano, an Asian eatery, with all-you-can-eat steakhouse Texas de Brazil debuting in November 2018.
