Taiwanese Dessert Cafe Coming to Mira Mesa

Meet Fresh, a popular chain of dessert cafes founded Taichung, Taiwan, will open its first San Diego shop in Mira Mesa. Scheduled to launch this fall, it will be located on Mira Mesa Boulevard in the center that also houses H Mart Korean supermarket.

With more than 500 stores throughout Asia and Australia, the international company is also expanding across the U.S.; it recently opened its first New York location and has more coming soon to Nevada, Illinois, Texas and Washington. The Mira Mesa shop will be its fifth location in California.

The Meet Fresh menu is based on traditional Taiwanese desserts and tea drinks. There are sweet bowls of taro balls and herbal jelly combined with other healthy ingredients including sweet potato, red bean, peanuts, and winter melon, plus tofu pudding, shaved ice, red bean soup and purple rice porridge. Drinks include black tea, green tea, tapioca milk tea and winter melon tea with small taro balls.
