The team behind Queenstown Public House in Little Italy and the family of New Zealand-inspired restaurants that includes Dunedin, Raglan Public House, and Bare Back Grill has just launched Queenstown Bistro, another new eatery in Westfield UTC. Centered around the clock tower that anchors the plaza adjacent to the complex’s food court, Queenstown Bistro’s seating is spread out across a plant-filled garden patio, shaded by a canopy and umbrellas. Michael Soriano, the group’s frequent design collaborator, also created the look here; while the Little Italy Queenstown factored sheep into its design, the new bistro features bees as its theme, with bee-shaped sculptures and lighting elements shaped like bee hives and honeycomb.
Open seven days a week serving lunch from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and dinner starting at 5 p.m., and offering both counter and table service, Queenstown Bistro’s menu ranges from shareable snacks to soups, salads, sandwiches and its signature burgers made with organic grass-fed beef or New Zealand lamb. Beverages include craft beer, wine, and house sangria as well as soju-based cocktails. Before the summer season, the eatery will roll out brunch and an afternoon tea service featuring New Zealand Manuka honey.
