Insomnia Cookies is coming to San Diego to satisfy your cookie cravings, day or night. Founded on the East Coast, the chain of bakeries has over 100 locations across the country; earlier this year, Krispy Kreme Doughnut Corporation bought a majority stake in the company, which opened its first California store in Davis this month. Its shops are open all day long and into the wee morning hours, operating until 3 a.m. everyday and offering delivery service until 3 a.m. as well.
Insomnia’s debut San Diego store is landing on Garnet Avenue in the heart of Pacific Beach and should be open by the end of the year. The menu includes twelve core flavors of fresh-baked cookies, ranging from double chocolate mint to white chocolate macadamia, chocolate peanut butter cup, and oatmeal raisin, as well as seasonal flavors, which can be turned into cookie sandwiches filled with ice cream or icing. The shop also does 10-inch cookie cakes, cookies and brownies a la mode, and cookie packs of 6 to 24 cookies.
