A Breakfast Republic for every neighborhood might not be such a far off prospect. Multiplying at an astonishingly quick pace since first launching in 2015, there are now seven locations and counting. The most recent outpost launched last month in Pacific Beach while the next is due in Carlsbad this summer.
Next up for the independently-owned morning eats brand is Mission Valley. Scheduled to open this fall, Breakfast Republic will replace the Panda Express in the Park Valley Center complex across from Westfield Mission Valley. 2018 will also mark Rise & Shine Restaurant Group’s first out-of-town opening. The tenth Breakfast Republic is heading to Irvine, where it will launch in late fall near the UC Irvine campus at 4213 Campus Drive.
The restaurant group is also creating a complementary offshoot to its breakfast concept. Eggies will be a fast-casual option for those who want a more grab-and-go breakfast experience. Housed in 20’ x 8’ converted shipping containers, these new food stands will serve up an easy menu of breakfast sandwiches, egg-centric entrees served in Mason jars, coffee, juice and salted cajeta-stuffed churros. The first Eggies locations will slot in next to the existing Breakfast Republic eateries in North Park, Pacific Beach and the East Village.
