Shake Shack’s San Diego expansion will bring the booming burger brand to Mission Valley. Our tipline has been overflowing with rumors about the location, and the company has officially confirmed that it is headed to The Millennium Mission Valley, a mixed-use project at 675 Camino De La Reina that includes apartments, retail spaces and a public plaza area. Shake Shack will be located in a new freestanding building within the complex and is slated to open by the end of 2017.
Shake Shack’s eagerly-awaited first local storefront is scheduled to debut at Westfield UTC on October 12, but its burger experts are heading to town this Saturday to share a preview of its menu at a pop-up held at Modern Times Beer.
The rapidly-expanding company will likely be opening more locations here, telling Eater, "We see tremendous opportunity in San Diego and are excited to bring Shake Shack to this dynamic community.” Urban Strategies Group’s Michael Burton is the local broker handling the company’s area expansion.
