Larsen’s Steakhouse has just been announced as a new addition to the culinary options that will soon be available at Westfield UTC. The first big wave of food and drink openings, part of the center’s ongoing $600 million transformation, is due this October and includes burger champion Shake Shack, seasonally-minded True Food Kitchen and locally-based eateries Great Maple and Arbor.
The West Coast-based steakhouse brand has six locations in California and Nevada; the UTC branch will be the company’s third outpost inside a Westfield complex. In a release, Larsen’s Restaurant Group President Flemming Larsen said, “San Diego is a natural next step for the expansion of Larsen’s Steakhouse – it’s home to big business, affluent neighborhoods, beautiful campuses and exquisite shopping – and we knew we wanted Westfield UTC to be our next location.”

Spanning 7,500-square-feet, the restaurant will include an upscale dining room, piano lounge, private dining areas, and an expansive 2,500-square-foot patio space. Larsen’s menu is classic steakhouse fare, from seafood towers and Caesar salad to the main event, wet- and dry-aged prime beef ranging bone-in filet mignon and porterhouse steaks to Japanese A5 Kobe beef. It’s also known for its list of 500 wine varieties, with hundreds available by the glass.
