In addition to working on a massive new brewery, distillery and restaurant project in Imperial Beach, Coronado Brewing Company (CBC) is in the process of putting together a permanent food component for its Knoxville Street tasting room and production brewery. First opened in 2013, the tasting room will be launching a pizza kitchen to service the space and discontinuing its daily food truck schedule, though the brewery will continue to work with local food trucks for special events.
According to BuildZoom, Coronado Brewing Company has pulled permits for the construction of a new kitchen in the space. A rep for the brewery says a counter for ordering food will be located near the 25-tap tasting room’s entry door. It will offer a different menu than CBC’s existing eateries in Coronado and Imperial Beach, ranging from bar snacks, sandwiches, wraps and salads to a variety of pizzas. Aiming to debut the food program this summer, the brewery plans to allocate additional dining space when the pizza kitchen opens.
