BALBOA PARK— It’s almost time for The San Diego Museum of Art’s 36th annual Art Alive, a highly-anticipated event in which more than 100 floral designers from throughout Southern California are selected to create floral interpretations of the museum’s most famous works of art. Running April 28 to April 30, Art Alive kicks off on Friday, April 28 with BLOOM BASH, a showstopper night of tastings from San Diego’s top restaurants including NINE-TEN, Panama 66, Curadero, STK, Bertrand at Mister A’s and more. AROUND TOWN— Fox Restaurant Concepts’ Flower Child and True Food Kitchen are giving back on Earth Day — Saturday, April 22. Flower Child in Flower Hill Promenade is donating one hundred percent of proceeds from its ancient grain-based Mother Earth Bowl to support local Helen Woodward Animal Center while Fashion Valley’s True Food Kitchen has pledged to plant one tree for every Citrus Skinny Margarita sold on April 22. VISTA— The San Diego Brewers Guild’s annual spring fundraiser event, Rhythm & Brews, is scheduled to return to Vista Village on Saturday, May 6. From noon to 4 p.m., over 50 local breweries will be pouring their more than 100 craft beers and there will be food available for purchase from local food trucks including Cousins Main Lobster and Currywurst Frankfurt.
