Mr. Moto Pizza House Now Open in North Park

New York style specialty pies, pastas and more

After the overwhelming success of its Pacific Beach outpost, which landed in 2015, family owned and operated Mr. Moto Pizza House just opened its long-awaited second location on 30th Street in North Park.

Owner Gibran Fernandez completed a full remodel of the 1,000-square foot former Stuff-n-Thangs resale store to reflect a similar look and feel as its sister location in PB – think gleaming white subway tiles, exposed brick and rustic wooden accents. With seating for around 30 people the new North Park locale also boasts a handful of TVs in addition to a charming covered sidewalk patio, complete with a living succulent wall.

The centerpiece of Mr. Moto’s menu remain its signature, fresh baked New York-style whole pizza pies and slices, all beautifully displayed for visitors to dine in or to take out by the slice. Current specialty pies include Mamma Moto made with mascarpone cheese, burrata, truffle oil, parsley and cherry tomatoes, and California Love with bacon, chicken, homemade ranch, caramelized onions and garlic paste. In addition to its gourmet pizzas, many of which come as gluten free and vegan-friendly options, you’ll also find a range of pastas, sandwiches, calzones and stromboli.

In addition to Mr. Moto offering a unique monthly-changing specialty pie, dubbed “pizza of the month,” the eatery also intends to introduce new pizza ingredient combinations on its ever-evolving menu.

Operating hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday and Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 2:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Orders for delivery can also be placed online via the website.
