Sirena Cocina Latina Shutters Saturday in Little Italy

There’s time for one more fresh seafood meal

Sirena Cocina Latina

Bringing a breath of fresh culinary air when first landing in Little Italy in late 2014, Sirena Cucina Latina’s executive chef Jaime Chavez showcased the flavors of his native Chile and other South American cultures on his seafood-focused menu. A quick revamp last year added more Latin-inspired dishes, plus a new cocktail program and its popular weekly Ceviche Wednesdays.

Sadly, its location off the bustling neighborhood’s main drag made the restaurant too much of a well-kept secret. Sirena Cocina Latina’s last day of service will be this Saturday, February 18. Sirena’s owner and Chavez will be relocating to Mazatlan, Mexico, where the chef will overseee culinary operations for Hoteles Inn de Mexico and help design future projects for the company’s expanding hospitality portfolio. In a statement, the restaurant said it would like to thank its family of local purveyors, loyal followers and incredible staff.
