NORTH PARK— Restaurateur and chef Matt Gordon, who owns and operates 30th Street’s Urban Solace and Solace and the Moonlight Lounge in Encinitas, has just launched Urban Solace Catering, an off-premise catering division inspired by his popular restaurants. Teaming up with catering professional Lisa Richards, who founded Picnic People and Festivities Catering and Special Events, Gordon is offering his modern, seasonal American cuisine with a regional California focus; the spring/summer catering menu includes many signatures from his North Park restaurant, including watermelon salad skewers with pomegranate molasses and the not your momma’s meatloaf, a mix of lamb and pork with figs and feta.
