Now open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays is Copa Vida’s fourth San Diego location, which recently landed at 655 W. Broadway. The Pasadena-based roaster also operates its local flagship coffee bar and all day eatery in the East Village, which first launched in 2015, and runs two cafes on office campuses in Carlsbad and Sorrento Valley.
Set into the base of a downtown office building, the space offers Copa Vida’s full array of beverages, from espresso drinks made on a Kees van der Westen Spirit espresso machine to tea brewed with a Alpha Dominche Steampunk, plus cold brew coffee, kombucha and iced tea on tap. An abridged food menu, ranging from yogurt parfait and pastries to salads and wraps is also available. The Marina District outpost will eventually have pop-up doors that open onto 1,500-square-foot patio and access to a communal workroom in the back of the space.
