Pacific Beach Fish Shop Landing in Point Loma

The casual seafood restaurant is expanding

More seafood is swimming into Point Loma. Pacific Beach Fish Shop, which first dropped anchor on Garnet Avenue in 2010 and since expanded to Encinitas and further north to Hermosa Beach, is planning to launch Point Loma Fish Shop by late January or early February. “We have been anxiously waiting for an opportunity to bring our fresh fish concept to the Point Loma area,” says owner Billy Ramirez. “It’s one of San Diego’s prized communities with amazing locals and continuous visitor appeal.”

The casual counter-service eatery will serve its core menu, centered around a variety of fresh seafood, cooked and customized with different seasonings and featured in a taco, sandwich, salad, or on a plate. Other dishes include New England-style clam chowder with smoked andouille sausage and the TKO Taco that tops grilled mahi-mahi with housemade tropical mango salsa. Point Loma Fish Shop will stock a good selection of local craft beer, and offer a $5 corkage fee to diners bringing in their own wine. The restaurant will also carry on the Fish Shop’s weekly Thursday $1 oyster deal.

Replacing the recently-shuttered Hollow Point Ale House, which sits near the corner of Rosecrans and Canon, this location will offer food delivery service and takeout. The 2,200-square-foot space includes a dog-friendly patio. ,
