A new spot for sweet treats will land in Little Italy early next year. Frost Me Cafe and Bakery is the first eatery announced for the neighborhood’s new Piazza della Famiglia; located at W. Date Street between India and Columbia. At 10,000-square-feet, the European-style piazza is part of H.G. Fenton Company’s mixed-use project that also includes apartments above and around 16,000-square-feet of retail and restaurant space.

It’s an expansion of local bakery Frost Me Gourmet, which was founded in 2011 and is a previous winner of the Food Network’s “Cupcake Wars”. In 2014, the company opened a storefront in Seaport Village and formerly ran a kiosk at Westfield UTC. Known for its rotating cupcake flavors that range from Chocolate Espresso Cherry to Hibiscus Orange Pineapple as well as custom cakes and dessert for weddings and events, Frost Me will be offering its core menu at its new and modern Little Italy location and more.

Other food options will include fresh pastries, homemade granola, European sandwiches made with local Prager Brothers Artisan Bread, charcuterie boards and salads. Frost Me will also serve beer and wine, with a coffee program fueled by San Francisco-based Ritual Coffee Roasters.

Scheduled to open in February of 2018, Frost Me Cafe and Bakery will span approximately 1,580-square-feet. Its 700-square-foot patio will look onto the pedestrian plaza, which will host farmers’ markets, concerts, events and more.
