Texas De Brazil is coming to Carlsbad and giving North County a meat palace to call its own. In the same vein as the Gaslamp’s Fogo de Chao and Rei Do Gado, Texas De Brazil is a churrascaria, or Brazilian steakhouse, specializing in a variety of meats cooked over an open flame on large skewers and carved tableside. As the name suggests, the restaurant was founded in Texas but now has over 50 locations all over the world; its only other California branch is in Irvine. Slated to launch in late 2018, Texas De Brazil will offer an all-you-can-eat dinner for $49.99 that also includes access to a salad area featuring over 50 items.
The steakhouse is opening at The Shoppes at Carlsbad, which is just completing a major renovation; it will join a number of other new restaurants, including the soon-to-debut expansion of Lucha Libre Gourmet Taco Shop, another outpost of Breakfast Republic (2525 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, CA 92008), Grubby’s Poke & Fish Market by popular Carlsbad Mexican eatery Señor Grubby’s, and Wokcano, which will serve a mix of Japanese and Chinese cuisine, ranging from sushi and sashimi to noodle dishes plus, Asian-inspired cocktails, wine and sake.
