A Texas-sized steakhouse is coming to San Diego’s North Embarcadero district as part of BRIC, the new development at the intersection of Broadway and Pacific Highway. Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse, the fining dining steakhouse chain from Irving, Texas-based Del Frisco's Restaurant Group, is building a two-story restaurant facing the waterfront; located at BRIC South, the area will also feature a community park and be anchored by the in-construction, 18-story InterContinental San Diego hotel. Launched in 1981, there are now 13 Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse locations in cities across the country including Las Vegas, Dallas, Denver and Chicago.
Scheduled to open in October 2018, the steakhouse’s ground floor and upper level will be connected by an impressive staircase, with bars featured on both levels and floor-to-ceiling windows that provide views of the harbor. It will include two private dining rooms as well as outdoor patios connected to each level. In a release, Del Frisco's Restaurant Group, Inc.’s CEO Norman Abdallah said, “We are thrilled to open our first San Diego restaurant and begin establishing a foothold for our flagship brand on the West Coast. We look forward to bringing our award winning wine program, big and bold design and prime steaks to Californians, starting in San Diego.”
