Newly opened in San Marcos is Landon’s Gourmet Kitchen, a restaurant that provides on-site childcare along with “fresh, farm-to-table cooking.“Our goal is provide a positive experience for both the parents and children. It’s a kid-friendly concept and also provides a great night out for parents,” says owner Charlynn Mann, who named the restaurant after her son.
Mann co-owns the eatery with her husband Garrett, where their from-scratch menu ranges from healthy to “indulgent” options including daily rotating soups and salads with housemade dressings. Seasonal produce is featured prominently, including greens from Solutions Farms in Vista that’s part of the non-profit Solutions for Change. Burgers have been early best-sellers, as well as fish-n-chips special that runs from 5 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
