ICMonster opens today

Today at 5 p.m. is the official opening of ICMonster’s new Kearny Mesa shop. Its first store opened earlier this year in Mira Mesa and the second location lands on Convoy Street, which has become a hub for Asian-inspired desserts. Known for its Thai-style rolled ice cream, in flavors including matcha, coffee, milk tea, plus Hong Kong egg waffles that are baked fresh to order, ICMonster also serves and array of boba drinks. ICMonster also recently added soft serve ice cream to its menu.

New to this location will be a full coffee program featuring beans from local roaster Dark Horse Coffee Roasters and special Oreo-based treats including Oreo milkshakes and cream top drinks and Oreo cookies mixed into its rolled ice cream flavors. The theme of this shop revolves around Okie, an Oreo cookie monster that’s one of ICMonster’s five mascots. There will also be weekday deals offered at both Kearny Mesa and Mira Mesa, ranging from $3.50 large milk teas on Mondays to its signature Firecracker rolled ice cream with Fruity Pebbles and popping candy for the special price of $5.50 on Fridays.
