Giuseppe Ciuffa, the chef behind Bottega Americano and award-winning Giuseppe Restaurants & Fine Catering, which runs Caroline's Seaside Café and MCASD’s Museum Cafe, is heading up a new event space, catering headquarters and sales office in La Jolla. Set to open at the end of September, La Sede (Italian for “headquarters”) the 2,000-square foot space will host holiday parties, wedding showers, business events, pop-up dinners and more.

Ciuffa says that he envisions La Sede as a hub for food and an inspired space for celebration where guests can sample Giuseppe Catering’s extensive menu of modern Italian and work with Ciuffa and his team to create an unforgettable event.

“By appointment, the public can taste our menu in the catering showroom, picture a gathering in our event space or explore new culinary creations at our exclusive pop-up dinners. La Sede will be a place to experience what we do and how we do it up close.”

Co-created by Ciuffa and designer Tiffany Brown, La Sede’s interior will blend the warm nostalgia of “classic Italy” with the edgy modern chic of “new Italy”. While Ciuffa and his team add the final finishing touches on La Sede, bookings for holiday gatherings are currently being taken with an official opening date slated for November 1.
