Breakfast Republic Rises in Carmel Valley

The Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch is the latest San Diego location to see the arrival of Breakfast Republic, a San Diego-based breakfast and brunch chain from Johan Engman’s Rise and Shine Restaurant Group. The Carmel Valley installment—its sixth location—opened on October 7th. Other locations are in North Park, Liberty Station, Encinitas, East Village and Ocean Beach, with a seventh to open in December in Pacific Beach.

The restaurants are known for their rotating special lattes, which change monthly, as well as cinnamon roll pancakes and a large variety of egg dishes and brunch cocktails. The 3,154-square-foot Carmel Valley Breakfast Republic is open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and features a 700-square-foot outdoor patio.
