Kearny Mesa's Up2You Cafe Opening Sit-Down Restaurant

Popular local dessert shop Up2You Cafe, which operates two locations in Kearny Mesa, specializes in sweets, including crepes, tiramisu, Belgian waffles, and Asian snacks — from ice cream-topped honey toast to fish-shaped waffles filled with Nutella or red bean. Its latest offerings are drinks poured into trendy glass bulbs and jars.

Next up for owner Kan Sritong is a move to the savory side. Taking a 1,500-square-foot spot at the corner of Convoy and Armour Streets that used to house a taco shop, Sritong is completely remodeling the space, which includes a patio, for a new restaurant called Your Story.

Due to open in December, Your Story will serve an Asian fusion menu that will combine the cuisines of various countries, including Japan and Thailand, along with a lineup of craft beer.
