LITTLE ITALY— The next monthly Farm Dinner at Juniper & Ivy, created to showcase the restaurant's local purveyors, is scheduled for Thursday, August 18. Hosted on the restaurant's patio, the seven-course dinner will center around locally-raised lamb from Teralta Ranch in El Cajon served alongside wines from Grattamacco Estate. IMPERIAL BEACH— LA Chef Steve Brown, who is planning to open a modern public house in Coronado later this year as well as a restaurant dubbed The Shipping Yard in his hometown of Imperial Beach, will be in town with his Cosecha pop-up dinner concept for a five-course meal with wine pairings held on the field at Wild Willow Farm & Education Center. It's a kick-off for a partnership between the chef and the non-profit farm, school and food hub, which will have dedicated growing space for Brown's restaurant. Tickets for the August 27 dinner are $100, with proceeds going to benefit WIld Willow’s educational programs. [EaterWire]
