The 210,000-square-foot Del Sur Town Center complex in North County is about to become flooded with new food and drink destinations that include fresh outposts for several tried-and-true local eateries that will join the just-opened Burger Lounge, Sprouts Farmers Market, and Starbucks in the planned community of Black Mountain Ranch.
Developer Shea Properties' senior vice president of retail leasing Kiril McKee says that Del Sur's culinary lineup has been curated to run the gamut from fast-casual to neighborhood gastropub.
Waypoint Public, the popular craft beer-centric bar and bistro that opened in North Park in 2013, will open a second eatery here with a new full bar program while South Park's Piacere Mio plans to add pizza to its array of housemade pasta and other traditional Italian dishes for this North County iteration. Also expanding into Del Sur is Choice Juicery, the organic, plant-based superfood and juice bar that currently operates locations in Carlsbad and Solana Beach, and locally-based sandwich and beer concept Board & Brew, which has over 10 shops throughout Southern California.
And there's even more on the menu — the quick-service Sababa Kitchen will offer a healthy Mediterranean-inspired eats ranging from grilled meats to falafel and freshly-made spreads and salads, Frost Gelato Shoppe will serve authentic Italian gelato and sorbet, and there will be a new branch of mega-chain Chick-Fil-A. All the eateries are scheduled for an early 2017 debut, though Choice Juicery should be up and running by this fall.
