Charity Oyster Shuck-A-Thon at Ironside

LITTLE ITALY— Ironside Fish & Oyster's third annual Charity Shuck-A-Thon is scheduled for Tuesday, August 2. For an epic seven hours, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., the restaurant will be offering $1 oysters and behind the raw bar, a host of female competitors will take turns shucking their hearts out to benefit a variety of charitable organizations with 100% of the proceeds from the sales of the $1 signature Ironside Select oysters going to support the featured charities. NATIONAL CITY— NBC has word on a new drive-thru location for Dunkin' Donutsthat's headed for East Plaza Boulevard right off the I-805. It's slated to open this fall, with more outposts to follow in El Cajon and Naval Air Station North Island. [NBC]

LITTLE ITALY— Celebrating the banner debut year of its first San Diego restaurant, 100% organic and plant-based Cafe Gratitude is hosting the free, family-friendly 'We Are One' Block Party this Sunday, July 31 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at its Kettner Boulevard location.
