FuAn Garden, a stand-alone restaurant on Convoy Street which first opened in 2013 serving spicy Szechuan cuisine, is now under new ownership and has been renamed Fuan Garden Seafood Restaurant.
Its current proprietor Michael Tran might be familiar to anyone who frequented nearby Jasmine Seafood Restaurant; Tran spent many years as its front of house manager. He's brought over Jasmine's former head chef to lead Fuan's kitchen, and switched the menu to focus on Cantonese fare, and brought in new tanks for live seafood. Jasmine's barbecue chef also moved over here, so there's also a warming case filled with roasted ducks and barbecue pork. Open 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, Fuan is currently offering takeout lunch special for $9.25.
