It's officially Friday, which means it's almost time to clock off and get those weekend vibes started. No plans yet? No problem! Eater's here with a handy set of recommendations to assist in your destination decision making. This weekend some of San Diego’s finest social gathering spots (Liberty Station, Waterfront Park, Silo Makers Quarter) play host to a trifecta of beer festivals – catering to everyone from homebrew enthusiasts and science geeks to Comic-Con revelers. While come Sunday, it’s time to grab the lime and salt in celebration of National Tequila Day!

On Saturday, July 23 SILO in Makers Quarter will transform into a liquid laboratory for a one-of-a-kind "SCIENCE OF BEER" festival. Between 3 to 6 p.m. beer geeks can enjoy tastings from nine of the city’s premier breweries including Stone, Lightening, Rip Current, Automatic Brewing Co, plus demos and talks from industry professionals and featured homebrewers. Local food trucks will be also be on-site, in addition to yard games (life size beer pong, giant Jenga) and live music. Comic Con Heroes Craft Brew Fest: Waterfront Park

San Diego’s Waterfront Park is the new venue for the comic-themed Heroes Brew Craft Beer Festival, which returns for its fourth annual installment during Comic-Con weekend on Saturday, July 23. San Diego Beer Festival: Liberty Station

For a fun filled day with beer, food trucks, and music head to the 6th annual San Diego Beer Fest at Liberty Station where dozens of local international craft beers, as well as San Diego’s most popular food trucks (food sold separately) will be featured on Saturday, July 23.
