If you're into dining and drinking, it's impossible to ignore the food porn-y appeal of Instagram, the highly addictive photo-sharing app. So welcome to Eater's new "Throwback Thursday" feature, where, on a monthly basis we'll showcase five of the weeks best photos from the Instagrams of established chefs and up-and-coming young guns from San Diego.

Future installments will also feature feeds from FOH and BOH members, from sous chefs and sommeliers to bar backs and bartenders, plus well-curated restaurant accounts too, but here are five of the best local food-related feeds to start following right now.

Have a suggestion for an inspiring Instagram account we should track? If so, hit us up on the tipline.

EXECUTIVE CHEF ACCURSIO LOTA: SOLARE

Originally from Menfi, a small town in Sicily, Chef Accursio grew up with Centuries old Mediterranean dishes made by his mother and grandmother using locally caught fish, farm-raised meat, and produce from the family gardens. Here in San Diego Lotà started cooking with storied Marine Room chefs Bernard Guillas and Ron Oliver, winning a slew of awards including San Diego's "Best Chef" numerous times. In 2012 he took the helm as exec chef at Solare, where his authentic Southern Italian cuisine highlights fresh and locally sourced ingredients. A colorful and artfully curated feed, scroll through for snaps of house-cured yellowtail and salami, beautifully presented plates, and an impressive 40-foot sheet of pasta! Follow Chef Lota on Instagram: @accursiochef

Lauded for her "skill and elegance", local culinary talent Christine Rivera was recently selected as an Eater Young Guns class of 2016 finalist. And, with her "skill-driven task of nixtamalizing, milling, and kneading masa each day, in house, while running an exceptional restaurant in a demanding market", it’s little wonder the 25-year-old was headhunted from George's California Modern to help launch Trey Foshee’s Galaxy Taco. "LIQUOR LORD" ANTHONY SCHMIDT: CONSORTIUM HOLDINGS

A doyen of the San Diego cocktail scene, Anthony Schmidt (Craft & Commerce, Noble Experiment), is well known for his unpretentious, old-school approach to the art of imbibing. Alongside fellow CH alumni his name has graced some of the nation’s most coveted lists including: Esquire‘s Best Bars in America; Food & Wine‘s Top 50 Bars in the Country; plus two nominations at the prestigious Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards. A scroll through the colorful and comical photos on Schmidt’s feed (case in point: a gun-toting/cowboy hat wearing taxidermy squirrel) offers up a selection of travel snaps and high jinx around San Diego with staff, family and friends, juxtaposed with plenty of enticing cocktail shots. Follow Anthony on Instagram:@mr_schmidtters

CHEF DE PARTIE MOIRA HILL: TIDAL

San Diego native Moira Hill put in time behind the line at Juniper & Ivy and George's at the Cove before landing at Paradise Point as chef de cuisine under celebrated executive chef Amy Dibiase.
