Don Chido's Anniversary Party in the Gaslamp

GASLAMP— Don Chido is turning two this month and is hosting a multi-day celebration. The official anniversary party for the modern Mexican restaurant is on Thursday, June 23 from 6 to 8 p.m. and will include $2 specials, live music and an all-night happy hour, but other $2 deals feature all this week, from $2 tostadas and Patron margaritas on Wednesday, June 22 to $2 hair of the dog/bartender's choice drink on Friday, June 24. BARRIO LOGAN— Coffee fiends will gather at Bread & Salt on Saturday, June 25 for the San Diego Coffee Network's Cold Brew City 2016. From 1 to 3 p.m., local roasters, including Cafe Virtuoso, will be competing for your vote in two cold brew categories — original and signature. A $25 ticket includes a custom tumbler for cold brew tastings, doughnuts from Nomad Donuts, and cold brew ice cream floats from Dark Horse Coffee Roasters. LITTLE ITALY— ­From now until July 25, Queenstown Public House is holding a clothing and essentials drive for local veterans and their families in partnership with the Veterans Village San Diego and will give a 10% discount to all patrons who bring in items for donation; the drive will culminate in a party on July 25 from 6 to 10 p.m. with food and drink specials to celebrate our local military.
