We got word that an established East Village eatery is currently on the market and priced to sell quickly. In what is described as a 'fire sale', Zanzibar Cafe is being offered at a slashed price of $275,000 for the 2,696-square-foot space with patio that currently spans a restaurant and wine bar plus adjacent market that sells prepared food and gourmet items.
Zanzibar Cafe opened at the corner of G Street and Seventh Avenue in 2007. Its flagship location in Pacific Beach operated for over 20 years on Garnet Avenue before shuttering in 2102 and another Zanzibar outpost is still running on the UCSD campus. Location Matters' Mike Spilky is handling the asset sale of the East Village property.
