After seeing sustained success with its flagship San Diego shop, which opened in Balboa Mesa to huge crowds in 2014, 85°C Bakery is betting on Mira Mesa for the second outpost of the popular Asian bakery chain.
Specializing in fresh-baked breads, cakes and pastries, plus a variety of drinks ranging from teas to smoothies, 85°C officially opens in the Mira Mesa Shopping Center at 9 a.m. today. In honor of the grand opening, the bakery will be giving away 85°C Sweets Books valid for 12 free drinks ($30 value) to the first 100 customers followed by a free tote bag or mug with a purchase totaling $20 or more; other promotions will continue throughout the month.
And there's sweet stuff heading for the South Bay. 85°C Bakery is working on its third location, which should launch next month in National City at 1302 E Plaza Blvd. #103.
